  • The Light

    I was watching a crystal clear dream, an eternity so tender.
    A faint voice like the wind,
    is calling me from up high in the sky.
    If we fly off, we can go anywhere.

    A fragment of the future
    can be seen between joined hands.
    Then in the light, everything, words and thought, sway back and forth.
    I'll be sure to pass them to you, in the distance, without leaving anything behind.

    Suki tooru yume wo mite ita yawarakai eien.
    Kaza no youna kazuka na koe ga,
    takai sora kara boku wo yondeiru.
    Kono mama tobi tateba doko no datte yukeru.

    Kasane ta to te no naka ni
    chiisana mirai ga mietara.
    Hikari no naka yurameita kotobamo omoi mo zenbu.
    Harukana kimi made nokosazu tsutaete kitto.

  • My new prayer.

    Grant me, oh Lord, for the coming events;
    Enough knowledge to cope and some plain common sense.
    Be at our side on those nightly patrols;
    And be merciful judging our vulnerable souls.
    Make my hands steady and as sure as a rock;
    when the others go down with a wound or in shock.
    Let me be close, when they bleed in the mud;
    With a tourniquet handy to save precious blood.
    Here in the jungle, the enemy near;
    Even the corpsman can't offer much lightness and cheer.
    Just help me, oh Lord, to save lives when I can;
    Because even out there is merit in man.

    If It's Your will, make casualties light;
    And don't let any die in the murderous night.
    These are my friends I'm trying to save;
    They are frightened at times, but You know they are brave.
    Let me not fail when they need so much;
    But to help me serve with a compassionate touch.
    Lord, I'm no hero -- my job is to heal;
    And I want You to know Just how helpless I feel.
    Bring us back safely to camp with dawn; For too many of us are already gone.
    Lord bless my friends If that's part of your plan; And go with us tonight, when we go out again."

  • Protesters... *sigh*

    I've been to a few protests in my day, and I commend those who give thier time to raise awareness for a cause that they believe in... but there is a wrong way to do it.  If someone doesn't want to talk with you about what ever you believe in, don't pester them.  It's not good form man!

    So I was walking down the street, and there were some people handing out fliers with dead babies on them...

    Protester:  Sir, would you like some information about murder being commited here in Indiana?
    Me: (taking a flier) Thanks, but I'm in a hurry...
    Protester:  (blocking my path) Did you know that every year-
    Me: (trying to walk around) I'm sorry, but I'm in a hurry...
    Protester:  (blocking my path, again) What is your opinion on abortion?
    Me:  (giving up) I don't really have an opinion...
    Protester:  Well what if you had to pick?
    Me:  Well, I guess late term abortions are ok...
    Protester:  (scoffing) How late?!
    Me:  Like 20 years or so...
    Protester: (jaw droppes)
    Me:  Kids arn't worth shit untill they're about 18, so I would give parents 2 years to decide if they want to keep them...
    Protester:  (stuttering)  I... Uhh... Wai-
    Me:  (finaly pushing past)  I'm in a hurry.

  • Haiku

    Hum of computer,
    torrenting throughout the night.
    Don't forget to seed.

    With no end in sight...
    They burn like the desert sun.
    Badly need eye drops.

    Numbers that don't end?
    Why not make it more simple...
    Twenty-two sevenths.

  • My Manifesto

    Another one got caught today, it's all over the papers. "Teenager Arrested in Computer Crime Scandal", "Hacker Arrested after Bank Tampering"...

    Damn kids. They're all alike.

    But did you, in your three-piece psychology and 1950's technobrain, ever take a look behind the eyes of the hacker? Did you ever wonder what made him tick, what forces shaped him, what may have molded him?

    I am a hacker, enter my world...

    Mine is a world that begins with school... I'm smarter than most of the other kids, this crap they teach us bores me...

    Damn underachiever. They're all alike.

    I'm in junior high or high school. I've listened to teachers explain for the fifteenth time how to reduce a fraction. I understand it. "No, Ms. Smith, I didn't show my work. I did it in my head..."

    Damn kid. Probably copied it. They're all alike.

    I made a discovery today. I found a computer. Wait a second, this is cool. It does what I want it to. If it makes a mistake, it's because I screwed it up. Not because it doesn't like me... Or feels threatened by me.. Or thinks I'm a smart ass.. Or doesn't like teaching and shouldn't be here...

    Damn kid. All he does is play games. They're all alike.

    And then it happened... a door opened to a world... rushing through the phone line like heroin through an addict's veins, an electronic pulse is sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought... a board is found. "This is it... this is where I belong..." I know everyone here... even if I've never met them, never talked to them, may never hear from them again... I know you all...

    Damn kid. Tying up the phone line again. They're all alike...

    You bet your ass we're all alike... we've been spoon-fed baby food at school when we hungered for steak... the bits of meat that you did let slip through were pre-chewed and tasteless. We've been dominated by sadists, or ignored by the apathetic. The few that had something to teach found us willing pupils, but those few are like drops of water in the desert.

    This is our world now... the world of the electron and the switch, the beauty of the baud. We make use of a service already existing without paying for what could be dirt-cheap if it wasn't run by profiteering gluttons, and you call us criminals. We explore... and you call us criminals. We seek after knowledge... and you call us criminals. We exist without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias... and you call us criminals. You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us and try to make us believe it's for our own good, yet we're the criminals.

    Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.

    I am a hacker, and this is my manifesto. You may stop this individual, but you can't stop us all... after all, we're all alike.

About Me

  • 私はオタクだ! Lol, yes it's true, I am a bit of an anime and manga geek... but hopfully it wont make you think less of me >-< I am currently enlisted in the Navy. My ship date was just pushed however. It will be a while before I leave... I'm currently single. I just ended a year and a half relation ship with a woman that I am still in love with, lol kinda pathetic, but it wouldn't have worked out. Long story so maybe I'll blog about it when I'm feeling more sorry for myself later! So I recently started a little manga strip of my own called "S vs B" and this xanga site will be its new home! SvsB is a manga short starring my two best friends, Steven and his girlfriend Beatrix. Steven and Beatrix give me alot of insperation for this strip, but what I am working on a full feature manga with 'em!
